"Having stayed in Blouberg before we knew the area and all it has to offer - surfing, kitesurfing, good restaurants and bars, great views and beach, but we needed somewhere to stay at the last moment. We were fortunate to find the Sir David and booked one sea-facing room and a downstairs pool-side room. Mom and dad took the view and my two sons (17 and 20) the pool-side room which was ideal to deservice their kitesurfing gear on the grass and then store in the hotel garage with my longboard. The pool also offered some privacy and a quiet corner if required. While we waited for the boys to return from a sunset kitesurf my wife and I could enjoy the lounge and balcony with a glass of wine and a beer! You could not inprove on this until Roland and Claire (Sir David Team) invited us to join them for freshly caught fish from the braai on the veranda. What excellent hosts and we look forward to staying again. What a relaxing start to 2012! My wife also recommends the health and beauty services offered."

"The stay at the Sir David Boutique Guest house was very pleasant, although I would like to add a few comments for reviewing. There is a few misperceptions created which I do think needs to be addressed by yourself. The photo place on the internet is very misleading, because when I called via phone and if it is recorded, it can be checked, the lady answering clearly said to me that the room I will be getting is the one displayed on the internet, when we got there we were stuck in a back room and although it had a beach view was not at all what I was promised. I was very disappointed as this was our honeymoon and stuck in a back room did not contribute or meet up to our expectation. Secondly, the balcony was not private and that means no privacy as anyone could walk out onto the balcony and look into your room. Thirdly, I think for such an up-market guest house there should be secure parking or at least guards patrolling the parking area. In general the stay was pleasant but I will not use it for a holiday stay but for business it will be fine."
