The room and facilities were clean and comfortable. The area is very quiet and we were able to rest and sleep in peace. Our hosts, Laura and Kim, went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable and that all our needs were met. We were more than satisfied and will definitely go back if the need arises."

"I first stayed at Hoylake Inn on a business trip some time ago, and was impressed at the location, views and standard that the owners set. Much of the building work was completed on my last 2 visits, and additions have improved the options for guests. The braai area, looking down at East London, is a great idea and an excellent place to have a sundowner and relax, or braai with friends or fellow guests.

The improved Hoylake Inn certainly warrants a 5 Star rating, in the physical sense and as all aspects of one's stay are well catered for and in a pleasant and friendly way by the owners."

"I had the pleasure of staying at Hoylake Inn on a recent business trip to East London. They are very well situated in being close to town and areas such as Vincent and Nahoon, and in a pleasant area with nice views and very close to the E.L. Golf Course. Initial impression was good despite on-going improvements to the property which were not obtrusive. Hosts Laura and Kim Wood obviously enjoy what they do and this translates into a warm, friendly environment that leaves one keen to come back to Hoylake the next time in East London. Food, service, surroundings and the attitude of all whom I dealt with were first class. Perhaps 5 stars on completion of renovation work will be appropriate for Hoylake Inn."
