"As a reasonably active but almost entirely landlubber I was a bit concerned that three nights could be a bit long aboard a stationary boat. I envisaged getting a little bit bored, but was soon to realise that the time was not nearly enough! The shoreline is only a brief trip by boat, so all that Knysna has to offer is literally there when you need it, but after each visit ashore I was only too relieved to be back on board. The constantly changing tides provide different panoramic perspectives, each with its own merit and beauty. We fished, braaied, swam, read, visited nearby attractions, walked along the coast, surf skied (we took our own skis), and just chilled. Our university going daughter came along and had a heavy academic deadline, so for her even though she wasn't as active as she would normally be, the venue provided perfect opportunity to zone in on her work without being distracted, yet having the ability to jump in the water or throw a line in occasionally to 'de-frag'. Before we knew it the weekend was over but we have great memories and some fantastic photos to share with our friends. We were lucky with beautiful weather which enhanced the experience. I would definitely go back. Thanks to Julia for providing what for us was a perfect weekend away from the hustle and bustle of the city and work."

"I stayed for two nights on the houseboat. Really enjoyed the stay, very unusual. Being a houseboat you need accept there will be things you won't get that you get in a hotel room. Saying that I was surprised how well supplied it was. Each time the current changed so did your view.

It was very stable with little movement unless a speed boat went past too fast. (Rare event though). The small boat used to get youth and from the harbour was easy to use the quick lesson from Julia belaid any issues.
