After being disappointed by friends who were going to accommodate us in George, the Old Post Office Lodge accommodation was a blessing and we could find rest and peace for our souls at such short notice. I realized that that was exactly the place where God wanted us at that moment and time, a place of tranquillity and a place to heal the soul. Thank you for accommodating us at such short notice. I would recommend the Lodge to anyone."

Each room has a nice balcony where you can relax and enjoy the view of the holiday buzz or the mountains. Pomodoro Restaurant at the Old Post Office Lodge serves great food (especially the yummy pizzas!). Normally Breakfast from Pomodoro is included in your room rate, but not in peak season. It is surrounded by other restaurants and little shops and a stone throughs walk to the lovely Wilderniss beach or the Lagoon.

During the festive season, it could be a bit noisy as there are restaurants opposite as well, but if you don't mind the buzz, I can really recommend a fantastic stay! I would just like to add that I would have loved to have a small Microwave to heat the leftover pizza!!! (Even if there were only 1 to share in the hallway :) Overall, we loved our stay and will definately book again."

"We have been in the old post office in high season. That is why the staff was quite busy in there restaurant Pomodoro (which is brilliant). But rooms were good and clean. It is in the centre of Wilderness. There is no problem to find a parking."

The convenience of the restaurant downstairs is a big plus as you do not even have to leave the building for supper and/or drinks. (Voted in top 100, 3 years running) The food is excellent.
Another big plus is, that breakfast at this very restaurant, is included in your room price.
The venue is centrally situated and mere steps away from the beach, making it an ideal holiday stop over.
Also for businessmen. I will highly recommend this establishment and I will in future definitely make use of the Old Post Office Lodge again.
It has a relaxed, unfussed atmosphere, which after a long day on the road, is exactly what's needed.
To be fair I must point out that parking is, though provided, not secure and other than the restaurant waiters, there was no one to receive and check me in. They were however extremely helpful and friendly and were aware of the fact that I will be arriving.
All considered an excellent establishment offering fantastic value for money, good food and a relaxed well appointed environment."
