"We enjoy the stay Bird Cottage however the 2-plate stove take hours to warm up and we can'tt boil potatoes or even bacon and eggs . We put it all under the grill to cook. Nice hot water and very friendly hosts."

"I had a great stay. I chose the smaller option, being on my own and it had everything I needed from TV, free WIFI and everything one needs for self catering. I felt welcome and safe. Also loved walking around the Island and Andy's Owls, that he rehabilitates. Will be back, for sure."

The room was tastefully decorated, with everything that we required for a short self-catering stay. When we found that the fan in the room didn't work, Andy immediately fixed the problem - we got the impression that nothing was too much trouble for Andy and Chris. The GPS co-ordinates on the Bird Cottage website were very useful. All in all, it was a very good experience, and we would certainly return if needing accommodation in the Sedgefield area."
