"Room was spacious, clean and with a comfortable bed. Shower pressure was good, mini-bar well stocked. Wifi was rather slow but that is no deal-breaker. Breakfast had a good selection and I would stay here again if I was in the area."

The room and toilet were spotless clean, spacious and well-decorated. The bed and soft linens even made it difficult to wake up in the morning! Beds were turned everyday with an accompanying fresh set of towels.

Privacy could be an issue for some, as we could hear the other guests' children crying from inside our room.

The breakfasts were satisfactory comprising of cereals, toast and the option of eggs and bacon. The breakfast service (rendered by the owners themselves) was exceptional though.

The place was also close to the beach, and though there's not much to do in Salt Rock itself, The Saffron House is well kitted with pamphlets regarding things to do in and around the North Coast and beyond.

Both of us appreciated Ian and Jenny's friendliness and personal touch. The Saffron House has a very homey feel and we felt like guests at a friend's house rather than customers.
