The evenings were perfect as we watched the sun set and lit our fire. The night sky was spectacular. My teenage sons where kept busy with the pets on the farm - friendly dogs, chickens and ducks paying us a visit. We will most definitely return. De Kombys is a gem of a find. "

"This is our best self catering experience in the world. De Kombuys is compact and unpretentious, but oozes care and style. There is wonderful attention to detail from the morning of our pending arrival when we received an email from Manina advising that the heaters would be on, our food defrosted in fridge and details of the weather forecast. Abundance in all supplies and toiletries and the rusks refilled daily. Hosts really proud of their home and like to share it. Martin lit fires for us and explained all about his special herd of grass fed organic cattle....we tried a fillet and some wors and it was the best ever. When our grandchildren left Manina gave them a very prettily packaged treat to go. Simply amazing at every level. We will be back for at least 5 days next time! Thank you for making the few days with our children and grandchildren so very special."

The cottages are spotless, comfortable and thoughtfully furnished - so homely. And the view looking over the vines and up the valley to the stunning sunset amongst mountain peaks was divine...

A 'must stay' if you are in the Oudsthoorn district!!"

It was well appointed with everything we needed and Manina's small added touches like real coffee and homemade rusks on the shelf added to our welcome.

We loved the rural charm of it all, walking across the farm fields and enjoying beautiful views of the mountains and vineyards as we sat on our stoep enjoying a glass of red wine at the end of the day. The ducks were a bonus! "
