Suggestions: for B&B guests a small jug of milk to allow you to make tea/coffee would be nice. I always enjoy a bath sheet rather than a smaller towel.

The advert which I may have miss read indicated a R45 charge for a meal which I understood as an evening meal or lunch, we were charged for our breakfast, which was a surprise and expensive when one considers most restaurants or fast food establishments would charge about R20 for a similar meal, granted the setting of the meal was beautiful and the service great.

The hosts were friendly and concerned about the service they provided. I would recommend this establishment for visitors looking for a quiet sleep over yet close enough to get to Cape Town easily.

"Despite a hick-up with the reservation (my fault really for not checking the dates), Kees and Hannah were very helpful and managed to put me up. I stayed in "The Borrow", first on my own and later joined by my family. We loved every minute. Lots of space, comfortable beds, very clean and quiet and the pool just outside the terrace door. Best of all were the hosts, who made us very welcome, feeling as part of the family, without being intrusive.
The only disappointment was that they could not accommodate us for our last days in Cape Town (which we had not booked in advance).
I will definitely return to stay at Makapa on my next visit to Cape Town."
