"I had never travelled to Fouriesburg prior to visiting Sandstone lodge. My associate and I were worried that we would be greeted by a backward "dorpie" filled with a conservative population. This was not the case at Sandstone Lodge!! Sandstone was excellent in catering for our every whim and desire and ensuring a comfortable stay in a new town. The rooms were but only divine, enough warmth and comfort to last through the entire chilly night. There were adequate drinks in the fridge to put even an ox to sleep and the bathroom architecture is beautiful and user friendly.

Sally prepared a mouth watering breakfast that has me falling hungry every time I think of it. In fact the meal was so round and filling, I only ate again at four in the afternoon of the same day and did not notice lunch go by.

The directions, the reception, the professionalism and overall packaging of the sandstone experience is real value for money and refreshing in present day South Africa!

All employees at Sehwai Exploration Drilling will always sleep at Sandstone when we visit Fouriesburg. We are looking forward to a long lasting relationship with Sarah and her team...

Fouriesburg is very small (some roads are dirt roads) but the tranquillity of the town, breathtaking natural scenery, together with the Chameleon, made it the perfect weekend getaway. It is also very close to Clarens and the stunning Golden Gate National Park.
