"My wife and I visited SA for a long overdue return to our home country to visit family, friends and places we love. Cape Town was the last leg of a 7 week trip. We are so thankful that our pre-trip research uncovered this outstanding B&B which put the icing on cake of a fantastic trip.

Located in a perfect location in terms of easy access to all of Cape Town’s attractions, the accommodation is first class, well appointed, spotlessly maintained and serviced and Terry the owner is an absolute star. She could not have been more helpful during all stages of our trip, right from our first communication she was a consummate professional and during our stay we were made to feel totally at home by Terry, Her husband Tim and their lovely dogs Harvey and Bentley.

My wife is in the hospitality industry and as such views all accommodation we visit with a critical eye, well she was blown away by this well appointed, comfortable and beautifully presented accommodation.

We were in the Robins Nest unit, it is spacious, bright and has ample space and is well equipped for self catering which is what we elected to do. The fridge is a nice size, not the typical tiny hotel room size, and Terry provided a lovely bottle of wine plus crisps and treats on arrival. The room had ample cupboard space to unpack our several bags, there is a safe, good Wifi and DSTV.

There is also a pool in the lovely garden with comfortable loungers.

When we return to Cape Town we will be planning our trip around Riverlea having availability.

As she took us up to the rooms she explained everything about her self and her family, making us feel welcomed into their home. The rooms were spotlessly clean with a feeling of home from home. Terry had provided emergency supplies, just in case we needed something immediately, such as milk, tea, coffee, etc as well as a cold beer and bottle of wine.
During our stay, we were so busy, as we were out by 07h00 and back late at night, sometimes even 23h00 that we never saw Terry or her family, yet our rooms were always clean and tidy on our return. The Sunday morning we left at 06.h00, and we were so surprised to see Terry waving us goodbye with her wonderful happy smile.

At Riverlea, not only was the accommodation superb, the level of service was among the BEST that I have ever experienced. Terry, the host, goes way beyond what is expected from a Guest House. When I am next in Cape Town, I won't even consider staying anywhere else, irrespective of if I have to travel to where I want to be for the day.
She is an exceptional person and made it a "Home from Home" stay!

"From the moment I arrived at the Riverlea, my first ipression was how pretty and neat it was. The hostess Terry wasn't expecting me at that time but was so accomadating and showed me around happily. I wasn't actually going to be staying there, i had just come to have a look. (but I wished I was! i had booked the Robin's Nest for a work Associate who was coming down from Mafikeng much later that night.) Everything looked so cool, clean,pretty and harmonious. A quaint little flatlet with a private bathroom, kitchen and balcony. You can see that Terry and her husband love their home and take pride in the appearance. I told her that the guest's flight was only coming in after 10pm that night, but she said she didn't mind waiting for her.

When the lady did arrive, the first thing she said was "Ooh! I could stay here for a month!" (she was unfortunately only staying for 2 nights). Terry made her feel welcome immidiately. She had out out fresh towels with Lavender scent, and stocked some nice munchies in the fridge esspecially for her.

Teri kindly rearranged her schedule so that she could be there to make breakfast early enough for me to have our guest at work on time. That morning when I fetched our guest she said what a wonderful sleep and beautiful breakfast she had had. I asked her if she wanted me to take her out for something to eat that evening, but she prefered to stay in! Terry had kindly organised her a special request for "fish & chips"!

I am so pleased that we discovered this dream home! We will definately be using it again as we are always flying associates down from all over the country. It is just aroung the corner from our office, but questly nestled away in the Constantia Meadows. It is really a treat for our guests, and great to know that they will be SO well taken care of!!
