"Our family of 4 stayed overnight at Ebenezer Guest House on our way home from Cape Town to Johannesburg.  We were very pleasantly surprised to find a very clean, fresh and well appointed room.  There was meticulous attention to detail from the cushion to placement of the towels and glassware.  Sheets and towels were clean and well pressed.  The beds and pillows were very comfortable -- it was the best night's sleep we had for our entire vacation.  Marie was very pleasant and accommodating.  While there was no Wifi, Marie offered the use of her access.

You can make your own braai in the garden too.
Room was adequate & shower ensuite.
No bar fridge but owner was more than happy to put our goods in the fridge.
Our aircon didn't work but room had 2 fans.
We travelled with 2 small dogs, so a perfect venue with garden settings - your pets are very welcomed by the family.
Secure parking too.

The first impression was the pictures on the web are exactly what is offered - a refreshing change from other establishments. Friendly, helpful staff welcomed us and attended to our requests satisfactorily. In today’s economic climate - excellent value for money and I will definitely recommend this establishment for a stopover between Gauetng and Cape Town. "We stayed at Ebenezer Guest Lodge as a stop over between Durban and Cape Town. The Guest Lodge was easy to find and the hosts were very welcoming and friendly when we arrived. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The swimming pool was an added bonus as we arrived in Colesberg in the middle of the heat wave in January. My two teenagers spent hours cooling off in the pool.
The family room we shared was very comfortable and contained everything we needed for the night. It was clean, the beds and pillows were very comfortable and we all slept well. There was tea and coffee, a TV, a lounge area and a lovely patio to sit on outside and enjoy the sunset.
We needed to leave very early the next morning and even that was no problem for the hosts. We had our own private entrance, and keys were left in accessible places for us to be able to let ourselves out without disturbing the other guests.
I would recomment Ebenezer Guest Lodge to anyone who needed a place to stay in Colesberg. Thank you Marie for making it such a pleasant stay!"
