Every year in mid-June hundreds of thousands of sardines make their annual migration along the KwaZulu-Natal east coast resulting in thousands of seabirds, dolphins, sharks and whales following the sardines along their journey. This in turn creates a unique and exhilarating experience for divers, bird watchers, whale watchers and anglers.
In celebration of this Annual phenomenon South Coast Tourism, Tourism Kwa Zulu Natal and the Natal Sharks Board presents a host of activities and events to keep visitors busy as they eagerly anticipate the first sightings of sardines.
