A picnic with a difference…

This January come and feel the moonlight on your skin at Boschendal’s first Full Moon Picnic. Everyone knows the benefits of the sun, but what about the healing properties of the moon? Did you know that some flowers bloom at night? Ancient wisdom also says that moonbeams have the power to cleanse.

If it’s been too long since you’ve spent a night outside, why not gather friends and family for a dose of lunar magic?

Where?

Surrounded by old oak trees and the Drakenstein Mountains, the Werf Garden is where we lay our scene. Just look out for the beautiful white gazebo. Blankets, beanbags and hammocks will be provided for your comfort, but feel free to bring your own seating.

What?

An evening spent dining al fresco under the stars. Listen to the laid-back live music of the night while enjoying a glass (or two, or three) of wine. Boschendal is a family-friendly farm so children are encouraged to come along!

What’s in the picnic basket?

We believe in only the best and natural ingreadients, picked fresh from our Werf Food Garden that very afternoon. Among other things, you can expect to dig into pasture-reared roast chicken from the farm and stoneground flat bread, accompanied by a selection of local cheeses and spreads, as well as chocolate-chip cookie ice cream for dessert!
